Little Annie Basin is a beautiful meadow that sits on the back side of Aspen Mountain. After a Summer of heavy use Little Annie Basin was in need of hydroseeding restoration. At 10,000 feet in elevation, the most challenging part of this project was getting the equipment needed up the mountain and to the job site. Making multiple trips up and down the mountain; armed with 5 trucks, 120 bales of certified straw, 8,000 gallons of water, and 4,500 pounds of hydroseed, the AVL crew of 7 took the challenge faced by this project head on. And after nearly 80 man hours in a single day, AVL completed the hydroseeding project, and the restoration of Little Annie had begun.
